Coco Peat / Coir Pith Blocks

Coco peat is a non-fibrous spongy. lightweight. corky material that holds together the coir fibre in coconut husk It was in the early 90s that the horticultural use of coco peat was discovered and the material demand has been on the rise ever since. It is fluffy and has a loose nature hence when compared to soil it can make water available to the roots for a longer duration. The result is roots that grow faster and are stronger Cocopeat also retains the nutrients longer than soil and delivers them directly to the roots thus enhancing the growth. Two types of cocopeat available Low EC and High EC Coco peat mixed with organic manure also available with us.

Coir is the natural fibre which is extracted from coconut. The fibre which is extracted from coconut husk is processed in automated machines to remove fibre. Then the processed fibre is manually and mechanically entwisted into coir ropes. Coir rope is very flexible springy and light and it also floats. It can stretch and absorb water without weakening.it is impervious to damage by salt and water. COIR YARN is generally of 2 ply spun from coir fibre by hand and using automated spinning machines. The coir yarn is of different qualities/grades based on the quality of fibre used and the nature of the twist, the presence of impurities etc. cut length for various industrial and agricultural purposes.
